## Run every location to the same standard.

Put opening lists, shift tasks and follow-up on a schedule, then see what got done across your locations.

> You start Monday with opening lists, line checks and closing tasks spread across your locations, then piece together what happened from separate staff updates before planning tomorrow’s shifts.

### Every location starts on the same plan.

Schedule opening, closing and shift tasks by day and role in each location’s time zone. Copy tasks between locations or create them for every location.

- Opening: At Northside, the opener starts the 6:00 AM opening list on schedule.
- Bar setup: On Friday, the Riverside bartender completes the PM bar setup task.
- Copying: The area manager copies Downtown’s cash drop task to Lakeside in its local time zone.

### Proof stays with the work.

Required photos block completion and record who took them and when. Managers rate completed work from 1 to 10, comment or reopen it.

- Line check: During Friday’s line check, the line cook submits the required photos before finishing.
- Manager review: After Sunday’s deep clean, the GM reopens the task for another pass.
- Photo record: At Downtown, the server’s cash-drop photo record shows who took it and when.

### Follow-up reaches the right people.

Assignees get a push about 30 minutes before due. Managers get an alert about an hour late, plus a morning plan and end-of-day scoreboard.

- Due soon: Half an hour before prep is due, a prep cook gets a due-soon push.
- Late task: When Riverside’s bar setup runs late, the shift manager sees an alert about an hour later.
- Recap: At close, the host opens a recap of the day’s tasks on the staff app.

### Find missed work across locations.

Compare locations side by side, follow photos as they arrive and track a fair score: skips with reasons and days off do not count as misses.

- Location view: On Monday, the owner compares Downtown and Northside’s completion scores side by side.
- Live feed: After a Riverside closing task, the dish lead’s photo appears in the live feed.
- Skipped task: A host skips the patio setup on a rainy morning with a reason, so it does not count as a miss.

### A day at Northside.

- Morning (Managers): Managers receive today’s task plan for their location.
- 30 minutes before (Assignee): The assigned team member gets a due-soon push before the task is due.
- At due time (Assignee): The task turns overdue, and the assignee sees it under Overdue.
- An hour late (Location managers): Location managers get a still-not-done alert, even during quiet hours.
- End of day (Managers and staff): Managers get a done, skipped and missed scoreboard. Staff get a recap.

### The dashboard for managers.

- Compare every location’s pending and completed tasks side by side.
- Review photos and task history, including lateness, notes and skips.
- Rate completed work or reopen a task for another pass.
- Track daily compliance, seven-day trends and top performers.

### The staff app on shift.

- See today’s tasks, overdue work and what’s coming next.
- Open the linked manual entry or recipe from task details.
- Complete tasks with notes and up to five camera photos.
- Skip with a reason or mark the day off.

### Codex Copilot: Keep task follow-up moving across locations.

From the dashboard, Codex Copilot creates or edits schedules, marks a day’s task done or skipped and reports missed tasks and compliance trends.

- "Assign the opening checklist to Northside’s AM team every weekday."
- "Mark Riverside’s missed cash drop as skipped with the reason equipment broken."
- "Create a daily temperature log for all four locations."
- "Move Downtown’s closing task to the PM shift."
- "Which locations missed their scheduled deep-clean tasks yesterday?"
- "Compare the seven-day compliance trend for Lakeside and Northside."

## FAQ

**What is Restaurant Codex Operations?**

Restaurant Codex Operations is the task and follow-up module for restaurant groups. It schedules recurring work such as opening lists, line checks, temperature logs and deep cleans, then shows completion, photos, skips and missed tasks across locations.

**Will my staff use it without an app store?**

Team members add the staff app to a phone home screen from a browser. After an SMS invite or QR code, they sign in with a code sent by text, with no app store, email or password.

**What should we bring, and how long does setup take?**

Bring the recurring work you want to schedule, such as opening lists, line checks and deep cleans. The 8-Week Implementation Program includes weekly one-on-one meetings, hands-on support and ongoing guidance from the Restaurant Codex team.

**How does Operations work across locations?**

Create a task for one location or all locations, then copy it to another location. Restaurant Codex flags people who do not work there and adjusts the task time to that location’s time zone.

**Can each person use their preferred language?**

Each person chooses English, Spanish (Latin America) or Portuguese (Latin America). Owners access every location, managers access their locations and staff use the staff app. Owners, admins, GMs and managers work in the dashboard.

**How does Operations connect to other modules?**

Operations tasks can link to Knowledge Base manual entries and recipes, which staff open from task details. Codex Copilot works across Operations, Knowledge Base, Training and LMS and Inventory, within the records and locations each person can access.
