## Get every new hire working to your standard.

Assign each role a path in the staff app on day one. Tests and manager sign-offs show who is certified at each location.

> You show a new server the menu before service, then fit the same lessons for the host and bartender around the shift, while next week's hires wait for a manager to have time.

### Every role starts with a path.

Assign a path by job role, team or brand. New hires in that role see it in the staff app on day one.

- First shift: At Northside, a new server starts the assigned dinner path before the first shift.
- Saturday seating: At Riverside, the host finds the large-party path before Saturday's first seating.
- Closing shift: A new manager at Lakeside follows the closing path before Sunday's shift.

### Your standards shape each lesson.

Paths use your videos, PDFs and vertical Shorts with a one thing takeaway and quick check, plus linked manual entries and recipes.

- Bar setup: Before Friday's bar setup, a bartender watches a vertical Short with the one thing takeaway.
- Recipe change: When Riverside changes its soup recipe, a line cook revisits the linked recipe during pre-shift learning.
- Dish close: On Tuesday, a dishwasher studies the closing steps in a PDF before the shift.

### Tests show who learned the standard.

AI drafts multiple-choice questions from up to 10 sources, then managers edit and save them. Tests give instant feedback while answers stay off phones.

- Allergen test: Before Friday service, an area manager edits AI-drafted allergen questions from the manual.
- Tuesday onboarding: During Tuesday onboarding, a cashier plays the cash-handling test and reads why each answer is right.
- Location report: At Downtown, a GM filters training results by role to find tests not started.

### Managers certify practical skills.

Managers approve a practical sign-off or request a redo, then review certification by role and location before setting schedules.

- At the station: At Lakeside, the location manager signs off after a prep cook sets the lunch station.
- Schedule review: Before next week's schedule, the owner compares certificates by location.
- Redo: At Downtown, a shift manager requests a redo after a new hire misses the opening cash count.

### From first lesson to certified

- Assign: The manager assigns a path to a role, team or everyone in the brand.
- Learn: The new hire works through the path in the staff app, in order or flexibly.
- Test: They take the test, with explanations after answers and up to five attempts.
- Sign off: A manager watches the practical skill, then approves it or requests a redo.
- Certified: Completion or manager approval records certification for the person.

### Manage training progress

### Codex Copilot: Build and assign training from your standards.

In the dashboard, Codex Copilot drafts paths and tests from your records, assigns training and approves or rejects sign-offs.

## FAQ

**What is Restaurant Codex Training and LMS?**

Restaurant Codex Training and LMS is the training module for assigning role-based learning paths, testing staff and recording certification across a restaurant group. Paths can include videos, PDFs, Shorts, text, manual entries, recipes and tests. Managers track progress by role, path and location.

**Will my team actually use the training?**

New hires in an assigned role see their path in the staff app on day one. Training Center shows Start here and Continue learning, plus path progress, tests, sign-offs and certificates.

**How long does training setup take?**

The rollout is an 8-Week Implementation Program with weekly one-on-one meetings, hands-on support and ongoing guidance from the Restaurant Codex team. Training is part of that rollout.

**Does training work across locations and languages?**

Managers review training by location through the location switcher and reports by role or path. Each person chooses English, Spanish (Latin America) or Portuguese (Latin America). Paths are assigned by role, team, everyone or brand.

**What do we need to bring to get started?**

Bring the material you want staff to learn from: manual entries, recipes, videos, PDFs, text or YouTube links. Copilot drafts tests from up to 10 sources, including SOPs, recipes, paths or pasted text. A manager edits and saves AI-drafted questions.

**How does training connect with the other modules?**

Training paths link to manual entries and recipes in Knowledge Base. Codex Copilot creates paths and tests from sources such as the allergen section of your manual, assigns training and approves or rejects sign-offs.
